Basic Introduction to Printed Fabrics

Update:Mar.23 2023
Printed cloth is printed and dyed with earth white cloth, which was very popular in the Tang and Song dynasties and reached its peak in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were about a hundred Lingbao dyehouses in the industry, distributed in county towns, townships, and major villages, with a thriving business.
During production, first soak the white cloth in water, stir it into a paste with bean flour and gypsum, use hard oil paper to make a plate, carve patterns of flowers, birds, insects, and fish, lay the plate on the white cloth, print it with a scraper, and then put it into a dyeing tank for washing and dyeing. After drying in the shade, peel off the attachments on the patterns.
Printed fabrics were once deeply loved by people and were used as necessities for dowry bedding and clothing. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the development of the textile printing and dyeing industry gradually replaced this traditional process.
According to the basic weaving methods of the product, it can be divided into:
1. Woven printed fabric is a patterned fabric made by processing and printing woven grey fabric.
2. Knitted printed fabric is a patterned fabric made by processing and printing knitted grey fabric.
3. Non woven printed cloth.
According to the different raw materials of the product, it can be divided into:
1) Cotton printed fabric.
2) Chemical fiber and synthetic fiber printed fabrics.
3. Woolen printed fabric.
4. Silk printed fabric.
5. Linen printed fabric.
6. Various blended printed fabrics.
7. Other fiber printed fabrics, such as wood and bamboo fiber, corn fiber, soybean fiber, protein fiber, and so on.
Fabric printing technology and knowledge
Compared with traditional plain color dyeing and jacquard woven patterns, the printing effect is incomparable! Because the scope and space of printing pattern design is larger, it is more conducive to the design and creative design of clothing designers!
Textile printing is a comprehensive processing technology, with a complex production process and many processes, usually including several processes, such as pattern design, mesh production (or pattern carving), color imitation and proofing, color paste configuration, printing, steaming, and water washing. In production, only good coordination and mutual cooperation between various processes can produce qualified printing products.
There are several methods of textile printing,
There are two commercially important printing methods: screen printing and roller printing. The third method is heat transfer printing, which is of relatively low importance. Other printing methods rarely used in textile production include wood template printing, wax wax (wax proof) printing, yarn tie dyed fabric printing, and anti dye printing. Many textile printing factories use screen printing and roller printing to print fabrics.
Brushing printing: It is also a type of printing. During the post-processing process, this type of fabric undergoes a polishing process to give the surface of the fabric a certain plush feel and improve the handle of the fabric.
So what is sanding? Brushing, also known as sanding. The process of using a sanding roller (or belt) to grind a short and dense layer of fluff off the surface of a fabric is called sanding, or sanding. It can make warp and weft yarns produce fluff at the same time, and the fluff is short and dense.
The suede surface is smooth, with a plump and soft feel, rich in velvet, soft luster, and no aurora. The brushed fabric is fluffy, thick, and has good thermal performance. When sleeping on a cold night, it is not as cold as other cotton fabrics when they first come into contact with the human body. At the same time, it has the advantages of non pilling and non fading. The weight of a ground four piece set is twice that of a normal four piece set.
